2/3/2024, Journal: From Daily to Weekly

I am moving my daily guitar journal from daily to weekly. I hope you don’t mind.

Blogging was Cutting down on my Guitar Practice

My practicing to journal ratio was close to 3:2. Meaning, 90 minutes of guitar practice to 60 minutes of blogging. A 3:2 ratio. It was cutting down on my practice time and perhaps boring readers too much with my incredibly detailed notes.

So as of yesterday, Friday February 2, 2024, I am moving from daily guitar journaling to weekly journaling. Three major benefits:

  1. More Practice Time. This will give me more guitar practice time. After all, that’s why I play guitar.
  2. Focused Learning Journals. Perhaps my learning journal will be of interest to you as a beginner or Shoshin (Japanese for beginning student.)
  3. Better SEO. I know that my blog posts are not optimized for search engines. This means that hardly anyone is finding them. But that’s the nature of early blogs. But I am happy to report that after less than 7 days of blogging my website is “international”. I am joking, but look below at my visitors.

Publish Learning Blog on Saturdays

That’s my plan for now. I’ll update a work in progress blog post every day but finalize on Friday, and try to improve SEO on Saturday prior to publish.

Random Blog Posts

If something is interesting to me and quick to blog about. I might dash off a fun 15 minute blog post.

Today is an example. This isn’t a fun post but it’s a necessary blog post that will take 15 minutes or less.
