Do Our Guitars Miss Us?

Let’s be rational: Of course our guitars Do NOT miss us.

OK, let’s be Guitarists: Darn right, our guitars miss us when we don’t play them.

Playing my Hohner HW400 Today

I haven’t played my Hohner HW400 in weeks. Today in my guitar room, I looked at it, it looked at me.

And I grabbed it.

My Trebly Hohner HW400

I even did a YouTube video kind of complaining about my too trebly Hohner HW400.

Today I played it, banged on it, embraced its trebly sounds and gimmicked the low E string to get good sounds out of it.

Lots of Fun.

What Did I Play Today?

Practiced “Tupelo Honey” by Van Morrison from 1971

My wife likes this song. So I am learning how to play it.

Played “Ride the Mule”

It’s the first song I ever wrote. I love its heavy power chords.

Played “Yes, Yes, Just Say Yes”

This is the second song I ever wrote. The chorus has “Yes, Yes, Just Say Yes”. People have told me they remembered that chorus days after the song. Hurray.

So Grab that “Forgotten Guitar” and Play It, Embrace It, Bang on It

I know it’s not rational, but we are Guitarists and Bass Players. We aren’t rational, we’re just crazy musicians.

Did you Grab a “Forgotten” Guitar after Reading this Blog Post?

Share your craziness with all of us. Leave a comment. Thanks.
